Western Iceland 2010

Randy points to a piece of "hákarl" (rotten shark) which has been cut to expose the putrified meat which is ready to eat.  This is a popular traditional food in Iceland.  What will they think of next?  Of course, Randy had to try this "delicacy" -- if your stomach can handle it, check out the video HERE.  Suffice it to say that hákarl is quite unique (the texture, smell, and taste are ALL wrong!).  The traditional way to eat this stuff is to wash it down with some Black Death (Brennivín, an Icelandic schnapps).
