Reykjavik and the Southern Peninsula 2010

Stjórnarráđiđ is the Office of the Prime Minister and the headquarters of the Icelandic Government.  It was originally built as a prison, the first in Iceland, but has been used for a long time for government purposes.  It's right smack in the center of Reykjavik.  The statue is of Hannes Hafstein, the first prime minister of Iceland (1904).
