| Icelandic Horses were, for centuries, the only means of transportation in Iceland until the automobile arrived in 1913. They do walk, trot, and gallop - but they have two additional gaits: the "tölt" (a very smooth and fast gait) and the "flying pace", a well-known international racing gait. |
