| Anne Kuitse Thastum and her granddaughter demonstrated traditional Inuit drum dancing for us at Hotel Kulusuk. These drums resemble tambourines (without zils) and are played by striking the frame from the underside with a stick. The drum head is made of the stomach of an animal such as a bear, and is very fragile. |
