| From the beautiful rose garden of the Neue Residenz (New Palace) across from Bamberg's Cathedral, there is an excellent view of Michaelsberg Abbey - a former Benedictine monastery. After it was dissolved in 1803 the buildings were used for an old-folks home and hospital. The former abbey church remains in use as the Michaelskirche. |
