Toulouse 2011

This is the most famous and most magnificent of the great Romanesque pilgrimage churches in the south of France, the Basilique St-Sernin.  Built in Toulouse between 1080 and 1120, it is located on the site of a previous basilica of the 4th century which contained the body of Saint Saturnin or Sernin, the first bishop of Toulouse in c. 250.
