Havana, Cuba 2011

The Plaza de Armas in old Havana has the densest concentration of historic buildings in the city, and is composed of cobblestones.  On the right is El Templete, a neoclassical Doric temple.  That tall ceiba tree is the younger cousin of a fallen giant that stood here on the site where local citizens celebrated the town's first Mass and where town meetings were held in the early 1500's.
