Havana, Cuba 2011

Our guide tells us the story of La Milagrosa (The Miraculous One).  Apparently, when Amelia Goyri de la Hoz died in childbirth in 1901, she was buried here in Cementerio Colón with her stillborn daughter buried at her feet.  When the tomb was opened a few years later, the baby was found in her arms.  She is now considered the protector of pregnant women and newborn children, and this tomb has constant visitors.
