| Perhaps the most amazing thing about harvesting bananas is how they are transported to the packing plant. A railing is constructed extending out in all directions into the plantation. The banana bunches are hung on the railing and then pulled like a train by one of these runners! You can imagine the sound it makes in the otherwise quiet plantation. |
