| The Arenal Lodge (foreground) commands an excellent view over Arenal volcano. We didn't realize at first that the "clouds" around the crater peak was actually smoke! Also, we thought we were hearing thunder -- but when the smoke cleared we realized it was the intermittent rumbling of the volcano we were hearing! |
