There are examples of Chinese art and artistry throughout the Forbidden City, such as this intricately carved tortoise.  The Forbidden City occupies nearly 200 acres at the center of Beijing, and the shiny, double-eaved roofs glazed imperial yellow mark the vast complex as the royal court's exclusive dominion.
