| The Sandstone Causeway over which you cross as you approach Angkor Wat from the west spans an absolutely huge moat - 570 feet across! The moat forms a rectangle around the complex measuring nearly a mile in each direction. It is the first indication that something special lies beyond - plus you get a glimpse of the main towers in the distance. |
