| The Memorial Chorten of Thimphu was built in 1974 to honor the 3rd King of Bhutan, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck (1928–1972). It is a Tibetan style chorten with a classical stupa that has a large golden spire crowning it, as well as smaller golden spires above the porches. |
