From the grassy patio of the Amankora Gangtey Lodge, there is a nice view across to the Gangtey Monastery and village. As an added bonus, we were able to watch the Black-necked Cranes from here. On arrival in the Phobjikha Valley in the last week of October, the Black-necked Cranes circle the Gangtey Monastery three times and also repeat the process while returning to Tibet. |
