| Australia has some of the largest fruit bats in the world. I followed this one as it flew into a fruit tree and hung upside-down. This is one of the most common types -- the Spectacled Flying-fox (Pteropus conspiculatus) which boasts a wingspan of roughly one metre (3 feet). |
