From this perspective you can more easily see why this shoulder of Ayers Rock is the one with the trail for climbing - it has a more gentle slope on it's lower portion.  There are people on the trail right now, but they are hard to see as they are dwarfed by the massive rock.  The trail is about one mile and a round-trip takes about two hours.
